1874 (24 Feb.) blue envelope from Durban to Manchester, bearing 1869 "postage." Type 7e (perf. faults at top) with indistinct numeral cancellation and fine despatch datestamp alongside, and 1873 (7 May) mourning envelope from Pietermaritzburg to Yorkshire and redirected locally, bearing 1870 green overprint wing-margin 1/- green (creases) with indistinct cancellation and showing G.P.O. and York (3.7) datestamps below, framed "too late" just to left of adhesive and applied to mails after closure of the current despatches; despite the few faults a scarce pair of covers with the Postage overprints.
