1896 (3 July) envelope from Mombasa "via Brindisi" to Leipzig and redirected to Walchensee, bearing "2½" on 4½a. dull violet cancelled with squared-circle datestamp, the reverse with Zanzibar (11.7) and arrival (2.8) datestamps. A very rare stamp on commercial cover with only six examples recorded, four to England and two to Germany. Photo
