1891 (15 Sept.) Imperial British East Africa Co. cheque made out for 30r. to T.E.C. Remington, Postmaster, in his own hand, bearing 1a. with variety "anl" (Row 6/3, early printings only) tied by part of the signature and blue crayon manuscript, endorsed on reverse by "Archibald Brown, Cashier"; a fine and most unusual item with both Brown and Remington being largely responsible for the manuscript provisionals.
