"Government of the Straits Settlements" naturalization document for a Mr Siegmund Behr from Prussia, bearing Revenue 1888 $1 (crossed by fold) tied by red Singapore embossed datestamp, signed by the Governor, Sir Cecil Smith, and the Colonial Secretary, William Maxwell; and 1894 (4 May) passport for Siegmund Behr, bearing Revenue 1888 $2 tied by Singapore red embossed datestamp, signed by the Governor, Sir Charles Mitchell, and the Colonial Secretary, A. Talbot; both documents with multiple folds. Most unusual and the first such documents we recall seeing. Photo
