1855 (2 July) envelope to Scotland, marked "via Southampton", bearing 2a. green (3) cancelled by diamond of dots and showing "penang/p.o." double-ring and London Paid (5.9) datestamps in red alongside; the cover is lightly discoloured and another 2a. has been removed, nevertheless a great rarity, being a second example the earliest recorded use of the red Penang circular datestamp.
