1882 (13 Sept.) envelope from Avoca to England, bearing 1879 Type 17 1d. carmine-red strip of three and a pair (placed inverted) in combination with Cape 1d. carmine-red all cancelled "8" and additionally tied by Avoca c.d.s. and Langford (14.9) transit double-arc datestamp, Cape Town and Leicester (10.10) datestamps on reverse. R.P.S. Certificate (1972) stating that one of the stamps in the strip is Type 15 from a few settings with many varieties which have not been listed. Photo
