1856 (5 July) envelope from Castlemaine to London, bearing Woodblock 6d and "registered" 1/- Die II, both tied by Barred Numeral "3", showing manuscript "6" and "1" (in red), "Crown/registered" h.s. in red and, on reverse, poor despatch, Melbourne and arrival datestamps; the envelope a little soiled and with small piece missing at top left. The use of the "registered" Die II is much scarcer than the Die I. Photo
