1859 (11 May) envelope from Beechworth to Ohlendorf, bearing Octagonal 1/- perf 12 pair and Emblem 1d. perf 12 pair (one with faults due to overlapping edge of cover and now lifted), both cancelled by Barred Numeral "9", showing light "registered/melbourne" c.d.s. overstruck by framed "Recommandirt", London Registered and Aachen transit datestamps, all in red, with despatch and Salzgitter datestamps on reverse; the envelope with some soiling and age-staining.
