1859 (10 Aug.) envelope from Back Creek to Altona (now part of Germany), bearing Woodblock perf 12 2/-, Octagonal perf 12 1/- and Emblem 1d. vertical pair, all cancelled by Barred Numeral "244", showing "registered/melbourne" c.d.s., two strikes of "Crown/registered" h.s., oval-framed "p" and Paid London transit c.d.s. (14.10), all in red, with despatch, Hamburg and arrival datestamps on reverse; the envelope a little soiled and stained. A rare franking and destination. RPSV Certificate (2008). Photo
