1850 (30 Nov.) entire letter from Russell to London headed "Tepuna B of Islands", rated "8" and with a fine strike of the handstamp at upper right corner, superb Auckland transit datestamp (9.12) at lower left and equally fine despatch datestamp on reverse; the contents complain of reduction of financial support; Considered one of the finest strikes of this very rare handstamp.
