1902 (7 May) envelope carried on the first mail out of the island to Suva, Fiji, bearing 1902 ½d., 1d. and 2½d. in combination with Cook Islands ½d. blue and 5d. olive-black, all cancelled by "penrhyn/new zealand" double-ring datestamp, the reverse with Papeete (2.6), Auckland (8.2) and Suva (20.7) datestamps; the ½d. defective and a couple of fox marks on other values though a rare and important franking mentioned in "The Postage Stamps of New Zealand", Vol V, page 415.
