Early Letters and Handstamps
1857 entire from Lyall, Still & Co. at Hong Kong "via Gibraltar" to Cadiz, rated "1/10" and showing a fair strike of the small "paid/at/hong-kong" Crowned Circle handstamp alongside "estrangero/cadiz" handstamp (Cadiz from Abroad) in blue and "8R" rate handstamp, sent overland from Gibraltar with the reverse showing sender's forwarding agent's cachet, despatch, San Roque (30.10) and Cadiz (31.10) datestamps, and "mp" (half postage) handstamp in blue; light fold crosses the Crowned Circle handstamp though an unusual destination and full of character.
