(x) France: Nouvelle Compagnie des Indes, note for the interest on 170 livres, Paris 1793, small format, black, handsigned. The reconstituted company, formed in 1785 with a monopoly of trade east of the Cape. The French Revolution however, threw open the trade to anyone, abolishing the monopoly and the company was liquidated in 1793/4. AEF.
