Alaska Gastineau Mining Company (NY), two certificates for $5 shares, 191[2], #491 and #558, signed by Joseph Gilbert as president, vignettes of mineworkers and frontierswoman with rifle, green and black. Joseph Gilbert formed the Alaska Perseverance Mining Co., which was renamed in 1910 Alaska Gastineau Mining Co. to mine gold. By 1915, 4,000 tons of ore were being crushed daily. Acquired by the Alaska Juneau Mining Co. in 1934; together with British companies operating in the USA (5) and others (2), includng Peter Schoenhofen Brewing Co. Ltd., 18[92], vignette of Brewery at left. This stained, the remainder mostly F-VF (9)
