Allegheny Valley Street Railway Company, certificate 500 Shares, 1906, #96, green, issued to William Larimer Mellon (1868-1949) and signed by him twice (as President and at the back). William L. Mellon (1868-1949) was the founder of Gulf Oil and for more than 40 years its chairman. Gulf Oil became one of the chief instruments of the Mellon family fortune as it expanded steadily under Williams leadership, becoming one of the major global oil companies. In 1984, it merged with Standard Oil of California. Hole cancelled, EF.
