Regno delle due Sicilie, Reali Finanze, 5% Loan, 100 Francs, Gaeta 20 Ottobre 1860, #49926, official stamp of King Francesco II, attached Coupons 5 and 6. This loan of 5 Million Ducati was the last loan of the Kingdom of the two Sicilies. Gaeta was the last stronghold against the invasion of Garibaldi 's and Victor Emmanuel II's troops. On 13 February 1861, the fortress capitulated. King Francesco II was deposed, the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies ceased to exist and its territory was incorporated into the new Kingdom of Italy.
