Monoplans Hanriot Co. Ltd., 5 shares of £1, 19[10], #136-140, ornate border, text in English and French, mauve, yellow underprint, with coupons. French aircraft manufacturer, founded in 1910. Failed to obtain orders from the French Military during 1912 and the company was wound up and reorganised the company under French law as Soc. de Construction de Machines pour la Navigation Aerienne. During WWI Hanriot formed Aeroplanes Hanriot & Cie building aircraft for other manufacturers, notably Sopwith. Joined with designer Emile Dupont and built HD1 fighter aircraft which were bought by the Belgian and Italian Air Forces.
