Small collection of "Madeleine Smith" experimental Glasgow duplex cancellations, including perforated Penny Reds (7), 2d. blue (2), including S.G.23 Plate 4 on large piece with complete strike, large piece franked with 1847-54 embossed 6d. mauve and 1/- green with two complete cancellations, and an additional 6d. embossed with a strike in green. Minor faults as almost always with groups of this type, still a fine group for the specialist. Photo.
