Collection on ten pages covering 53 issuing authorities, many better items including 1861 Wells Fargo Pony Express $1 red imperforate block of four, with Brandon certificate noting 'slight thinning', good selection of locals, some on cover including Moody's Penny Dispatch (1853), Gordon's City (1849) and Blood's (1857), and a strong trio of Confederate Postmaster's provisionals including Mobile 5c. blue (Sc. 58X2) on piece, Memphis Woodcut 5c. red used and New Orleans 5c. brown on cover.
