This issue was overprinted in complete sheets of 240 with initially "South West Africa" 16½mm. long on the upper two panes and 16mm. on the lower two panes. This order was subsequently reversed. For printings from 8 November 1926 all four panes had the 16½mm. measurement

£1 green and red upper left and upper right corner pairs with large part and complete plate numbers respectively, mint with the usual gum bends, the upper left pair with the stamps unmounted, the upper right pair with small paper adherence at foot. S.G. 40. Photo
