Niger Coast Protectorate
1892-1898 specialised, largely used collection neatly mounted and written up on forty display pages, including 1894 double bisect cover from Bonny to Luton franked with bisected 1d. vermilion and 1892 2d. grey green and carmine (some toning), 1893 provisionals (19), the better values with certificates, including ½d. on 1d. lilac mint unsevered pair, 1893 Type 3 ½d. on 2d. mint, ½d. on 2½d. Type 8 in red superb used, ½d. on 2d. on 2d. Type 9 fine used and a 'bounced' double surcharge of ½d. on 2½d. Type 3. 1894 vertically divided provisionals including ½d on 1d. pale blue used and 1894 1d. on 2d. surcharge double (Both with RPS certificates). Collection continues with pages of cancellations including colours and scarcer types, 1897-98 10s. deep lilac with compound perforations, in a block of four (S.G. 74c, mildly toned) and a strong collection of postal stationery including 'Oil Rivers' overprinted ½d. card used with Bonny cancellation. A valuable and well presented collection, viewing recommended. Mostly fine to very fine.
