Selection of envelopes mainly addressed to Mrs Wood at various locations including siege of Ladysmith (5, one used on the first day 2 November 1899, the others with Stamps unobtainable/Ladysmith), later with Cape of Good Hope, Great Britain or Transvaal usages, some registered, with a range of different cancellations and including 1900 (25 Apr.) envelope bearing "recovered from/wreck of mexican" cachet in red. An interesting lot worthy of closer inspection. Condition mixed. (79)
