Penang: 1854 1a. pale red strip of three, Die I, Stone B [27-29], good to large margins and lightly cancelled "B/147". This strip is from the sub-stone with [28] showing major variety second "i" of "india" omitted as a result of smudged transfer and a retouch to first "a" of "anna", [27] shows retouched "o" in "one" and [29] has flaw by nose; [27] with surface defect though still of fine appearance. A major rarity used in Penang. S.G. Z21. Photo
