Blue and red, two cut-to-shape examples, Jatia Stone J, [4] and [6], neatly cancelled with diamond of dots and affixed on 1855 (2 June) entire letter from Calcutta "Per Str. Bentinck via Marseilles" to Marseilles, variously rated and showing framed "india paid", French entry datestamp and, on reverse, sender's straight-line handstamp and despatch datestamp.
