(†) Government of Cyprus, a uniface obverse partial composite essay for a proposed issue of 10 shillings and for £10, ND (1917), grey and white, winged lion and book and denomination in field, both are on thin card and are dated 13 April 1917 in margin, also two partial hand executed essays dated 13 April 1917 in margin, an essay on board for a 2 shillings with winged lion at centre, 1/- in border at left and dated in margin 26 November 1919 and with manuscript 'Approved 27/11/19' below, also a hand tinted border design for a 2 shillings (?) with date in margin 21 Nov 19
