Great Imperial Japanese Circulating Note, 1 yen, ND (1873), red serial number B137325* black and white, sailing ship at left, warrior with bow and arrows at right, reverse green and black, dramatic battle scene from the defeat of the Mongols in Hakata harbour at centre flanked by the obverse and reverse of gold 1 yen coin
(Pick 10), completely original, still retaining body, has some staining, one small tear in top centre margin otherwise about very fine, extremely attractive and a scarce note.
