A medal popular with students and lovers of architecture, this reverse shows the four obelisks erected by Fontana, on the instruction of Pope Sixtus V, in front of St Peter's (1586), Sta. Maria Maggiore (1587), S. Giovanni in Laterano (1588), and in the Piazza del Popolo (1589).
