Discovered in 1984, this Civil War era hoard consisted of 2 gold and 1201 silver coins equating to a contemporary face value of over £63. The latest issues within the hoard were a group of Halfcrowns and Shillings bearing the (r) mintmark, which had been adopted by the Tower mint for its issue of 1644-5 under the jurisdiction of Parliament.
