(x) Royal Navy L.S. & G.C., G.V.R., 2nd issue (PO. 7572. William Rennie, Private, R.M.L.I), very fine

William Rennie was born in Dundee in April 1876 and enlisted in the Royal Marine Light Infantry in July 1894. He served in H.M.S. Monarch from April 1914, including at the Battle of Jutland, until being invalided ashore after sustaining an injury while coaling in April 1917.
