Cecil Henry Amblin was born in Pontypridd, Glamorgan on 14 Nov 1925. By 1939 he was living with his mother, Edith Lily Amblin, and his grandparents, Samuel and Mary Amblin, at 6 Vaughan Terrace, Mountain Ash in the Rhonda Valley, five miles from Aberdare. He died in Merthyr Tydfil in 1999, aged 73.
