Arthur Watson appears to have landed in Gallipoli at the end of June 1915, or certainly according to his MIC: this may have been as a member of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, in which corps he also served. He presumably enlisted in the ranks of 1/2nd Lovat's Scouts following the unit's arrival on the peninsula in late September.
