The 2nd Battalion, Cameronians were present during the operations in 1923 against the Kurdish Chief Sheikh Mahmoud who had installed himself at Salaimaniyah with the assistance of a the attachment of Turkish troops; confirmed as the recipient's full entitlement as per MIC.
