1830-1874 Official and Administrative stampless letters and documents, a most remarkable assemblage of 65 items, largely folded letters, along with a few documents, all bearing an amazing range of special administrative cachets of various civil, ecclesiastical, military and treasury departments, all applied to official mail indicating that it could be sent free, originating from a wide variety of towns and all appear to be internal usages, many of the cachets are quite striking and elaborate, some are in negative type, many having been illustrated in the Frajola/Mayer handbook and others are noted as being the only recorded examples, some with small flaws, large majority are fine-very fine or better; a collection that would be impossible to duplicate.
