20th Century valuable and rare proof and essay holding of many dozens of items, most are complete sets of die proofs or essays, much is from the 1930´s and 1940´s, including some that were purchased at the ABNC or Waterlow archive sales, many items are undoubtedly unique, includes some artist´s drawings, master dies, incomplete essays, etc., several better topicals such as F.D. Roosevelt and Soccer, Mr. Mayer purchased many of these sets for well over $1,000.00 each (often several thousand dollars) and our estimate reflects only a tiny fraction of his cost, fine-very fine; a remarkable holding of rare items that will never be duplicated.
