1865-77 Great Britain inbound postal history to Costa Rica, a desirable group of 23 folded entires or letters all sent from Great Britain - primarily from the cities of London or Manchester - to San Jose in Costa Rica, showing a nice variety of rates and frankings based upon the one shilling packet rate that was in effect during this time period, many are franked with the 1873 1/- Green (plates 10-13) either with singles or pairs depending on the weight, plus six are franked with the scarce 1867 2/- Blue value including one with a pair representing a quadruple rate franking, a few other covers have more unusual combination frankings to make up the rate, most covers with usual unobtrusive file folds (a few of which pass through the frankings), overall fine-very fine.
