#294a, 1c Pan-American, Center Inverted, an affordable sound mint example of this always popular invert, rich fresh colors, o.g., small h.r., perfs. just touch at left, very good; only 300 stamps were printed with the center inverted, some of which were used, it is believed that only about 250 mint examples and perhaps 45-50 used singles and three covers have survived, and many of the copies have faults or lack gum.
