Colombia, forwarding agents assembly, 1839-1902 correspondence with forwarding-agent involvement including seven covers with 1850 item from Santa Marta to London bearing "Juan C. de Mier" cachet of New York, 1851 with "Encaminada/Por/M. Abello" oval in red of Santa Marta, 1867 letter to New York forwarded by "C. Hauer Simmons" of Santa Marta, with "Steamship/10" due marking, 1869 letter to New York with three forwarders including Jacob Rois Méendez of Barranquilla, Hauer Simmons in Santa Marta and W.P. Maal in Colon, 1873 letter to New York showing "Fergusson, Noguera & Co." and "Pardo & Dovale" cachets, and very scarce 1902 envelope franked by Colombia #202, 1902 20c Violet, with "Encaminada Por/Barranquilla/Pardey i Compañía" oval handstamp, which is unrecorded by Rowe, and 1859 entire to New York displaying cachet of C.J. Fox in Colon, a very fine and varied assembly.
