French P.O. in Alexandretta, July 16, 1877 cover (portions of the top and side back flaps lacking) from Aleppo to Beirut, initially franked for local postage on reverse with Turkey 1875 10pa Lilac, four examples, of which one with couple of corner perforations missing, and two 1876-77 20pa Green, all tied by "Alep/Turquie" c.d.s., entering the French mails at Alexandretta with application of France 1876-77 30c Brown-yellow type II, tied by dotted "Alexandrette/Syrie" blue c.d.s., repeated adjacent, very fine, a rare and visually impressive combination franking, signed Jamet.
