#149, 1896 10c Emerald, on cover with interesting contents in Italian concerning the situation of rebellion with the destruction of crop fields, food scarcity, yellow fever, cholera, etc.: "Spain has sent 150,000 soldiers who have not been able to do anything yet, as the rebels are camped in vast extensions of virgin forests..."; the correspondence, originating at Havana, was sent to Rieti, Italy, and redirected to Oreste, very interesting and scarce.
