#9, 1857 7½d Green, a magnificent mint example of this Pence issue rarity, boasting numerous physical characteristics seldom found converging on a single copy, including mostly lavish margins all around which are quite uncharacteristic, luxuriant deep color and a prooflike impression on crisp white paper, while its reverse reveals full clean original gum which, remarkably, has only been lightly hinged, extremely fine and choice; clearly one of the finest mint original gum singles extant;
