Fancy and unusual cancels on pre-1870 covers, large holding of 325 covers in sleeves, comprised of 253 with 3c 1861 issue, 56 with 3c 1851, 1857, 1869 or other values and sixteen on stamped envelopes, includes a dizzying array of geometric cancels, grids, targets, cog wheels, pinwheels, numerals, letters, starbursts, a fish, odd shapes, stars, straightline handstamps, auxiliary markings and more, all identified by Skinner-Eno number, except in the numerous cases where they are not listed in the book, mixed condition as these were acquired for their cancels, many fine-very fine covers and strikes; many better items noted throughout so an examination is essential.
