Auction: 163 - The Philatelic Collectors' Series Sale
Lot: 1434

British Commonwealth valuable and voluminous holding comprised of stocks, collections and accumulations all housed in around 80 various stockbooks and albums as amassed by an acquisitive collector, all filling five large cartons, there is very little 19th century of consequence present, most are 20th century with emphasis on mint sets from George VI and especially QEII as well as some singles, short sets and souvenir sheets, we note useful Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, British Caribbean, Malta, Cyprus, etc., however virtually all countries are represented, sometimes multiple times, with considerable duplication throughout, there are simply loads of $5.00 to $500.00 catalog value items to be found such as Ascension 1922-37 issues complete mint and St. Helena centenary set mint, just to name a few, much is in mounts in stockbooks so it would be fairly easy to transfer into albums if desired, or it could be the basis of a retail business or it could be a feast for the Ebayer, some toning and/or disturbed gum in places, but much is fine-very fine; plan to devote at least a couple of hours to do a through inspection, which is well advised since the turn of the page could reveal anything in this poorly organized holding.
