1932 London-Rome-(Brindisi-Athens-Australia) Interrupted Flight, cover from Rome to Port Darwin in Australia, franked by Italian airmails 1l pair and 5l, tied by "Roma-Aeroporto Littorio-Posta Aerea/192.32" c.d.s., bearing "Roma/Aeroporto del Littorio" two-line handstamp and "Ruvo di Puglia-(Bari)/25.2.32" c.d.s. alongside, this denoting the interruption of the flight when, as a result of a snow storm, the plane was forced to a blind landing, causing serious damages to the Aeroplane and wounds to the pilot Hamilton; very fine, one of only eight flown covers recorded exhibiting the signatures of the pilot and the mechanic; 2002 Longhi certificate; (Longhi 2584; €2,000).
