Italian Post Office at Alexandria, #7, 14, 1878-81 "Estero" overprinted "V.E.III" 20c Orange and "Umberto" 20c orange, both contemporarily used on cover front addressed to Milan, paying the double rate, cancelled by "234" numeral handstamp with matching "Alessandria D'Egitto/16 2-83" c.d.s. at right, illustrated on page 246 of the "Historical Postal Catalogue of Stamps Used in the Italian Post-Offices Abroad", an extraordinary combination of the same denomination originating from different Kings Issues, unique, with only an additional example known of any "Vittorio Emanuele III" - "Umberto I" mixed franking; 1999 Colla certificate; (Zanaria-Serra-Del Negro €10,000)
