Tolima #2a, 1870 5c+5c+10c Black on thick White wove paper, setting IV, the famous se-tenant strip of three, positions 3-5-7, showing soft but very fresh impression, graced by wide balanced margins on all four sides, with large part of manuscript cancel “Venadillo”, faint diagonal crease just affecting one stamp, not apparent on front, absolutely not detracting, the only known example of 5 c. & 10 c. se-tenant used, illustrated on page 69 of Dr. Gene Scott’s Colombian States handbook, and listed by him as the most important item of the Colombian States, with its importance being compared to Tuscany 4cr inverted tablet; after the famous “Pack Strip” of Brazil, this gem has to be considered the second most important se-tenant piece, as well as one of the most significant rarities of Latin America, a gem of worldwide philately; 2009 Bortfeldt certificate;
