A collection of Tattersall correspondence in four albums covering the postal ban with envelopes (178), Officials (3), postcards (3), parcel labels (9) and loose stamps (73), included is 1899 Tattersall's Circulars (2) and Melbourne Cup subscritption form, pre postal ban covers (12, one "officially registered" and "....to pay" h.s. in blue, one with "officially registered" and "more to pay" h.s. and one officially registered, franked at 9d. and showing manuscript "8d to pay" probably as it contained money and not been registered by the sender), various unclaimed covers including 1899 (2) and 1904 envelopes to Victoria each with framed "unclaimed at/melbourne", loose stamps punctured "A" which stands for Adams founder and owner of lottery including Sideface 1d. on locally addressed Hobart envelope which is uncancelled with manuscript "Envelope and name of sender wanted, stamp doubtful" alongside, a range of security underprints on KGV Heads, 1902 and 1903 envelopes showing "transmission and/delivery prohibited" h.s. in red, Tasmanian Parcels Express Delivery Co. 3d. booking receipt, Tasmanian Government Railways 3d. Parcels Ticket pair on 1903 envelope plus a single 3d. and 6d. (torn in half) affixed to pieces of parcel, Tasmanian Government Railways Parcel waybills on 1902-07 envelopes (10) and a large number of Tattersall's covers to or from business fronts covering a range of people, hotel and newspaper proprieters etc. A facsinating lot well worth careful inspection
