1853-1913 entire letters (2), envelopes (47), picture postcards (28) and loose stamps (15), in two cover albums, mostly incoming mail, showing a range of markings including framed and diamond-shaped "ship letter inwards free" datestamps, "loose ship letter" h.s. including three on postcards, "loose ship's letter/posted at/macquarie island/s.y. aurora" on envelopes (2, one with stamp removed, the other in a very distressed state), "loose/ship/letter" h.s. and "paquebot" h.s. (various types from around the world), also thirty-one picture postcards of various ships. An interesting lot, condition very mixed therefore needs careful examination
