1827 (5 May) duplicate of a Royal warrant to Lt. Gen. Sir Henry Warde, Governor of Barbados, "Trusty and Well-beloved, We greet you well. We being well satisfied of the Loyalty, Integrity, and Ability of Our Trusty and Well-beloved James Dottin Maycock Esquire have thought fit hereby to signify Our Will and Pleasure to you that forthwith upon the receipt of these presents you swear and admit him the said James Dottin Maycock [Member] of our Counil of the Island of Barbadoes, and for so doing this shall be your Warrant".
