5d. red-brown vertical pair, apparently bent during being perforated 14 as the perforations are wavy at top, middle and foot, perf. 11 at centre with the folds (resulting in tears), both strengthened with patching, part original gum. Very rare and a highly unusual multiple which if separated would result in a mixed and irregular compound perf. examples.. E13f, $6,000; S.G. 343, £2,600. Photo
