1865 (14 June) large part pale green quadruple rate letter sheet from Wellington to London, bearing 1864-67 2d. blue Plate I worn (12) all superbly cancelled "7", showing London Paid c.d.s. (21.8) and, on reverse, Wellington c.d.s.; central vertical fold passes between two 2d. values. An extraordinary and very rare franking with very few Chalon frankings bearing twelve stamps. R.P.S.
